Launch Africa, Africa’s top venture capital firm, has invested in Insights by Experts, Homecoming Revolution’s new on-demand knowledge platform.
Homecoming Revolution, a pan-African executive search agency, announced the launch of their new platform at a vibrant stakeholder event hosted at Nairobi’s Sankara Hotel.
The platform, dubbed “Insights By Specialists,” enables global investors and businesses to access on-demand independent talent from a vetted community of seasoned African experts across a number of African countries and sectors.
Janade du Plessis, Fund Manager at Launch Africa, stated, “Over the last two decades, Homecoming Revolution has developed strong ties with some of the continent’s largest corporations and sector experts, and is now bringing it all together on the Insights By Experts platform.”

The introduction was prompted by an increasing number of investors and businesses seeking to expand in Africa but restricted by a lack of timely and relevant “on the ground” expertise. Insights by Specialists is a comprehensive resource of African experts compiled by Homecoming Revolution, a non-profit organization founded in 2003.
African specialists who are senior and experienced can provide up-to-date, on-the-ground insights, guidance, and opinions. The specialists are available for a variety of purposes, including one-on-one consultations, contracts or projects, coaching and mentoring, introductions, and board positions.
The platform is accessible via self-service or with the support of the organization. The self-service method is composed of six steps and begins with a search across several countries, industries, and specialties.
The client then submits a consultation request to the expert, including pertinent questions and suggested meeting dates. The customer receives the expert’s response and confirms the consultation date, which is followed by a calendar invitation from the expert that includes a video connection.
The client then converses with the expert and obtains proprietary information. Finally, the client assigns a rating to the expert and his or her experience.
If a consumer need additional assistance, the portal makes it simple to brief the recruitment team immediately.
