Capria Ventures, the global investments firm has made an investment into the second fund of the UAE-based Global Ventures, the first investment Capria has made in the MEA region. Capria Ventures is a global investment firm, partnering with and funding the largest network of emerging market fund managers collaborating to deliver superior returns and scaled impact. Capria has offices in Seattle, Paris, Bangalore, and Nairobi, and is backed by international investors, including Vulcan Capital, the Ford Foundation, Bill Gates, and IFC.
It has made its first MEA investment in the UAE-based Global Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in founders and ideas scaling across emerging markets. Global Ventures has invested in Africa-based startups such as Buseet, Elmenus, Helium Health and Paymob, as well as more than 20 other companies across 15 markets. Its second fund is focused on technology companies addressing critical needs and demands in recently accelerated industries, and the investment from Capria will further accelerate its growth.
