GreenHouse Lab (GHL), GreenHouse Capital’s flagship accelerator program, is pleased to announce the launch of applications for the first-ever pan-African fintech accelerator.
For an unmatched acceleration experience, the six-week program will bring together the most inventive African entrepreneurs, accomplished tech founders, worldwide investors, and world-class corporate partners.
“The launch of the GHL Fintech Accelerator marks a crucial step for the startup and venture capital industry in Africa. This program will bring together the most innovative and exciting startups across Africa, as well as the leaders of some of Africa’s great success stories. Our goal with GHL is to create a platform for accelerating African and emerging market startups into world-class companies that can continue to compete on a global scale and attract global capital,” Bunmi Akinyemiju, Founding Partner of GHC said.
Here Is What You Need To Know
- Since its beginning, GreenHouse Lab, which is powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, has advanced 15 of Africa’s top startups. GreenHouse Capital’s acceleration arm, GHL, is a leading African fintech investment fund and platform that supports early-stage startups and world-class emerging market entrepreneurs. GHC has invested in notable startups such as Flutterwave, Max, and Wallets, and is Africa’s largest fintech fund in terms of portfolio size.
- GHC’s goal of “founders backing founders” and the significance of connecting Africa’s startup and founder ecosystem is embodied via the GHL Fintech Accelerator.
- The Accelerator will include private mentorship sessions with the founders of YC-backed businesses such as Marketforce360’s Tesh Mbaabu, Mono’s Abdul Hassan, and Wallets’ John Oke to support these ambitions. These entrepreneurs will share their experiences, advise, and knowledge with the next generation of entrepreneurs.
- The Accelerator will organize virtual deal days with worldwide investors and connect program participants with GHC’s and Venture Garden Group’s global investor and corporate networks, in addition to mentorship and seminars on essential aspects of business development. AWS and Google for Startups will provide product credits to program participants, as well as an exclusive public relations strategy session.
