Shatablee, a digital interior design and build platform addressing the numerous finishing issues in the Egyptian market, has acquired $1.2 million in funding to scale operations as it looks to optimize and fully automate the interior finishing cycle.
According to founder Moustafa Amer, the funds raised will be used to fuel the company’s ambitious growth strategy and execution of its home market expansion goals.

Shatablee, founded in 2021, aims to digitally transform the traditional home finishing process through ground-breaking solutions that enable all homeowners in gated communities to access a faster, easier, and more cost-effective journey through a variety of financial solutions available through a single digital platform.

Users begin by picking a unit type inside their home compound to view a gallery of several design packages ranging from premium to exclusive to luxury. After customizing the decor for each place within their unit to their liking, users can submit their order by selecting from a range of financing options. Once the order is verified, Shatablee begins the construction phase and completes the procedure in 90 days.

“The sheer size and fragmentation of the market play to our advantage. We believe that Shatablee is best suited to address the asymmetries faced by customers as well as professionals in the market, be it the lack of financing, the prolonged time to deliver that may take up to 12 months, the limited price transparency or the inadequate quality of houses created across many segments, especially within gated communities” said Moustafa Amer, founder and CEO of Shatablee.
