Wiki Start Up, the first private incubator launched in Tunisia since 2011, has announced the launch of the “Startup Nest”, a program of incubation and support for young people with ideas in the structuring and management of their projects, the training of their teams , technical support as well as mentoring and this through specialized cohorts.
Wiki Start Up is partnering with the NGO SPARK and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will fund the Startup Nest program. As a reminder, the latter work to strengthen the employability of young people through the development of entrepreneurship and the creation of Startups,
Startup Nest will start with a cohort totally dedicated to FINTECH initially and a 2nd cohort for AGRITECH.
During the incubation process, the successful entrepreneurs will be supported by experts in the field who will be considered as affiliated entities of the program, thus facilitating the access of its entrepreneurs to the market and to fundraising.

The selection process
Idea carriers will have from February 26 to March 26, 2021 to register via an online call for applications for a Hackathon which will determine the 14 startups selected, 7 in the field of Fintech and 7 in the field of Agritech.
For 4 months, the selected future entrepreneurs will enter an incubation phase through full personalized support oriented around various training courses and activities. They will be guided and supported by Wiki Start Up experts, who are particularly committed to enriching their knowledge and developing their networking.
Finally, a fundraising opportunity will be organized for the benefit of project leaders before the investment committees of United Gulf Financial Services North Africa “UGFS-NA”, one of the leaders of management companies on the Tunisian market in terms of managed funds and leader in the financing of innovative companies, project partner.

Throughout the incubation period, the project leaders will be under the benevolent supervision of the project partners led by Wiki Start Up.
The SME MS Solution, a Startup specializing in electronic banking, present throughout the value chain of mobile payment systems will provide its support and will be the mentor of the winners of the FinTech cohort.
For its part, Ezzayra Solution, publisher of innovative solutions serving agriculture and regional leader in the technological services sector for the benefit of farmers, will be the SME that will be affiliated to the Startup Nest program for the 2nd “Agritech” Cohort.
Finally, Paris & Co, an agency for economic development and innovation in Paris and its metropolis, which promotes the dissemination of innovation through the incubation of more than 500 French and foreign startups per year, will provide sectoral and cross-functional support to Wiki Start Up teams and also facilitate the access of selected startups to the French ecosystem.
