Arising from the ashes of coronavirus-induced losses, Wantotrip, a Tunis-based E-Tourism startup that aims to revolutionize travel, has secured funding from a group of Tunisian business angels.
The funding will assist co-founders Chahrazed Remadi and Makrem Hermassi in rebuilding the startup largely hit by the health crisis.
The startup had previously raised 200k DT ($73k) from Flat6labs and Anava Seed Fund — the most successful Startup accelerator in the MENA region . The funding enabled the startup to start and double its team after 6 months.

Why The Investors Invested
“It was unthinkable for me to miss the Wantotrip adventure, a one-of-a-kind startup that is revolutionizing the world of tourism and giving a new dimension to the traveler experience, driven by a passionate, creative and avant-garde team of tomorrow’s tourism,” said Karim Fertani, one of the business angels who took part in the startup’s fundraising.
