Debaj Group Pledges to Expand Business Network Across Africa
The Chairman and Managing Director of Debaj Group Inc. Mr Robert Adebajo has pledged his organization’s readiness to expand its business activities across the regions of Africa. Mr. Adebajo made this known in Washington D.C. United States while outlining the outlook for the company’s activities this year. He highlighted that the year did start on a very great note for the company with a major recognition from the Asia Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI) with an award of Corporate Governance at the beginning of the year which he described as a positive push for all his organizations have earmarked to achieve this year.
It could be recalled that the AACCI had earlier in the year held its award ceremony where it recognized some outstanding organizations and individuals across Africa. The AACCI which has been in the business of facilitating and increasing two-way investment, business and trade flows between Asian and African countries has been working assiduously in raising the profile of African businesses and linking them with their Asian counterparts.

The AACCI which was founded by Dr. GD Singh aims to continue to play a very important role in areas where government leverages and policies regard as grey and bringing in private businesses and individuals to fill such gaps and promote cooperation, and business partnerships between the two continents.
The Awards which took place earlier in the year recognized the efforts of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in helping bridge the gap between key business partnerships between both continents through the policies of the State by conferring him with a leadership award by the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI).
Other personalities recognized through conferment of individual and corporate awards includes Mr. Michel Deelen, Consul- General, The kingdom of Netherlands; Hon. Gboyega Isiaka, a member of the House of Representatives of the Federal republic of Nigeria, and Ms Oluwabunmi Amao, Director-General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation (CBAAC), among others.
“The awards at the forthcoming investiture is a platform created to celebrate the greatest achievements and innovations,” and “This will include executives in the government agencies and in several industries in the Nigerian business environment especially those with business bilateral ties with member countries of the AACCI” says Dr. Singh.
This recognition will spur the Debaj Group to positively push boundaries both in innovation and partnerships across Africa and Asia, says Mr. Robert Adebajo of Debaj Group. He thanked the “ AACCI for recognizing my efforts in promoting awareness and adherence to the principles of good corporate governance, while encouraging improvements in the standard of corporate governance disclosures and practices.”
Debaj Group has in the last few years been active in Nigeria, Cameroon, and other African countries where it is working hard to set up shop with hope to expand across the regions of the continent in due course.
