Egyptian B2B2C Health And Wellness Startup Esaal Bags $1.7m In Seed Funding Round
A15 has provided Esaal, an Egyptian health and wellness platform, with $1.7 million in seed funding. Esaal offers consultations on a vast array of topics, including anxiety, physiotherapy, pediatrics, and nutrition.
The Egyptian healthtech firm has a B2B2C business model in which it partners with medium to large businesses to provide these services to their employees.
This funding will be used by the online health and wellness consultation platform to expand across MENA, invest in product and brand development, and hire more talent. Esaal anticipates a sales CAGR between 50 and 60% between 2021 and 2025.
Esaal was one of the companies that benefited from the pandemic-induced lockdown that created chances in the healthtech industry. Users can utilize an app to access Esaal’s services (text, video/voice calls, and in-person visits) and pay using cash, credit cards, Vodafone, and Fawry.

The platform now charges membership fees and on-demand consultation fees, and future improvements will include the ability to charge for in-person visits.
The firm offers its services in seven additional MENA and GCC nations, including Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Iraq.
