Network International appoints Sandeep Chouhan, as its Group Chief Business Transformation and Technology Officer

Network International (Network) the leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, has announced the appointment of Sandeep Chouhan as Group Chief Business Transformation and Technology Officer.

Bringing global experience in spearheading Business and Technology Transformations at some of the world’s leading financial institutions and payments businesses, Sandeep will be responsible for driving Network’s group-wide strategic transformation to accelerate business growth, operating efficiency and innovation in processing and acquiring products, as well as reducing time-to-market for banks, merchants and fintechs.

A reputed figure in the global banking and payments industries, Sandeep most recently served as Group Chief Operating Officer of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB). He brings with him over thirty years of consumer banking and payments experience in business management, digital transformation, technology modernisation and agile operations. Sandeep has a track record of building and running technology, digital and operations at Citi, Discover Card, Barclays, Mashreq, CBQ and ADIB.

Dr. Reda Helal as Group Managing Director, Processing Business – Africa and co-head Group Processing

Network International (www.Network.ae), the leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has announced the internal appointment of Dr. Reda Helal as Group Managing Director, Processing Business – Africa and co-head Group Processing. In his new role, Reda will be responsible for leading and growing a client-focused business unit serving financial institutions, fintechs and payment partners across all African geographies served by the Group.

Reda is passionate about payments innovation, financial inclusion and cashless societies. He brings over two decades of experience in digital payments, strategic planning and execution, new market entries and leadership practices in multinational payments organisations. Reda has been with Network International since 2007 and most recently served as Group Chief Sales Officer for Processing. He also helped launch the company’s business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, Reda held various leadership roles in international banks across the Middle East, Africa and North America.

A leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) Network International has announced the appointment of Hany Fekry as Regional President – Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa in a move observers say is aimed at driving greater digital payments adoption across Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa. In his new role, Hany will be responsible for all aspects of Network’s acquiring and issuing business in Egypt and Nigeria, and for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to drive Network’s business growth and increase digital payments adoption in Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Hany joined Network in 2016 as Managing Director for Egypt and Deputy Managing Director for Africa, leading the company’s business development activities across the Northern and Sub-Saharan region. Previously, he served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Emerging Markets Payments (EMP) Africa, which was acquired by Network International in 2016. Hany’s more than 20-year career has included developing business in markets including Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq.
