There is no new Cabal in APC
A group of progressives within the All Progressives Party (APC) has condemned the false and malicious report being peddled by some shadowy characters who are mostly enemies of the current administration and sponsors of the #ENDSARS protests to cause confusion within the ruling party.
According to the group, the objective of the sponsors of this report is to create a rift within the ruling party. The APC Progressives stated that the shadowy group employed the use of fake news to talk about a meeting that never took place. Worse still, they even made attributions that never happened to the amiable National Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Party, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, Executive Governor of Yobe State. It noted that anybody who knows the amiable Mala Buni will attest that it is not in his character to make such an unguarded statement. The statement insisted therefore that this fake news should be disregarded as they are the figments of the imaginations of the obnoxious sponsors. A source at the Party Secretariat recalled that this National Caretaker Committee took off by visiting all the leaders of the party including Chief Bisi Akande, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and several others and secured their buy-in. The source also pointed out that the National Caretaker Committee has been working assiduously to rebuild the party from bottom-up, according to the mandate of Mr. President and the NEC of the Party. He averred that the party is equally aware of the desperate antics of those trying to pull down the government, sponsoring nationwide crisis, and are eager to create a rift within the party.

The Party Executive said that no responsible party member will embark on any effort to drag the Party to the mud, and advised the public “to ignore the antics of people who are desperate to destroy the Party, if they cannot control it”. He concluded that there is no such thing as new cabal meeting anywhere “that people cannot stop others in a democracy from visiting their friends and associates’ ‘. He was also unhappy with the mention of Mallam Abubakar Malami SAN, pointing out that no propaganda or fake news by these power hungry characters would be complete without mentioning the Honourable Minister of Justice/Attorney General of the Federation who has continuously resisted efforts to derail President Mohammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war.
The irony of it all, according to this party Chieftain, is that “there are daily meetings in the houses of these sponsors. Yet, they want to scare others from meeting or even visiting friends.” He promised that they would continue to fail because the HAGF would not be distracted from carrying out the mandate given to him by President Buhari.
