South African Hotel Management Startup RoomRaccoon Launches Operations in Zanzibar
The South African hotel management system (HMS) RoomRaccoon has announced its expansion to Zanzibar, offering independent hoteliers the opportunity to accelerate their operations, increase profitability and reduce costs with its all-in-one system.
Founded in 2017 and based in Cape Town, RoomRaccoon is an all-in-one HMS that empowers independent hoteliers with powerful cloud technology. The system is intuitive and simple to use, and offers outstanding support.
The company’s expansion in Zanzibar will be led by Niels Verspui, who helped launch RoomRaccoon in South Africa in November 2017. Following robust growth, RoomRaccoon has quickly become the preferred hotel management system for hundreds of independent properties in the country.

“Among the key reasons for RoomRaccoon’s success in the South African market is its ability to address the challenges that independent hoteliers face on a day-to-day basis,” Verspui said. “I am excited to bring RoomRaccoon’s game-changing technology to independent hotels in Zanzibar so they, too, can unlock new ways to generate revenue, streamline property operations, reduce costs and enhance the guest experience.”
