Startups Land $2.9m From Techshow “Who Wants To Invest In My Project?” In Morocco

Every Tuesday, from November 30, 2021 until January 04, 2022, from 9:40 p.m., the 2nd season of the show “Who Will Invest In My Project?” holdS in Morocco. After the success of the 1st edition, 2M, in partnership with inwi, is again making the second season of the techshow possible.

During the fifth Prime of Season 2, two more startups were able to persuade investors, and were consequently granted 900,000 dirhams in funding from business angels and the Tamwilcom fund.

This brings the total number of funding so far granted during the latest edition of the program to over 11 million dirhams.

Startups supported during the 4th Prime include

  • Jib Jib, a platform that processes deliveries of items to individuals at the same pricing as local businesses; and
  • BabelMdina.ma, a market place for vendors based in the souks of the historic medinas. 

Startups supported during the 4th Prime include:

  • ALIKAR, a startup that offers an affordable premium automotive and corporate concierge service for one-off or permanent needs of individual or business customers.
  • SAIDE VTC, a startup that offers security solutions tailored to specific audiences: real-time GPS geographic tracking system, driver tracking and loyalty.
  • Hsabati, a startup that meets the needs of entrepreneurs in terms of management tools through a modular and adaptable platform based on a no-code and simplified interface.

Supported startups during the 3rd Prime include:

  • Entomonutris, a firm that breeds the insect “Black army fly larva” to make organic fertilizers for agriculture as well as organic proteins for animal feed and aquaculture.
  • Carreau Sable, an industrial start-up producing (patented) covering tiles for walls and floors from western sand available on a large scale in Morocco;
  • L’Œil du Caméléon, a startup specializing in surveys, market data collection and mystery surveys through the principle of “Crowdsourcing”;
  • Using digital tablets, Power Society produces advertising space in partner outlets that is available to marketers at very low rates.

Supported startups during the 2nd Prime include:

  • Meqnes is a startup that promotes Moroccan handicraft by producing long-lasting, high-quality leather products at reasonable costs.
  • Klinoto is a digital solution that connects clients who want to wash their automobiles with mobile washing agents. It is offered as a web and mobile platform. Individuals can shop for cleaning and maintenance items on this platform, which includes a marketplace.

Supported startups during the 1st Prime include:

  • Cuimer. which is a start-up that reinvents Moroccan leather expertise and enriches it through the use of a new exotic leather (fish leather). Cuimer’s concept is to repurpose fish skins that would otherwise be discarded.

A Look At “Who Wants To Invest In My Project?” Show

The purpose of the presentation is to provide you an opportunity to sell your business, get funding, and learn from successful entrepreneurs. It is similar to the popular American and Japanese shows “Shark Tank” and “Money Tigers,” which concentrate around conversations between candidates and investors.

Candidates will benefit from investments from the Central Guarantee Fund (CCG), support from the Digital Development Agency (ADD), and the Federation Moroccan Information Technology, Telecommunications, and Offshoring, in addition to mentoring and access to professional networks of major entrepreneurs (APEBI).
