The money comes from a group of angel investors, some of whom have chosen to join Tays’ executive board. Google Ireland’s Business Development Manager, Remax Middle East’s CEO, O7 Therapy’s Founder and CEO, and El Ahly Capital’s Facility and Procurement Director are among the board members.

“The ongoing pandemic has highlighted how difficult it is to create meaningful professional connections,” Bacheet said.

“With this pre-seed investment, we hope to launch our platform and enable the entire MENA to begin expanding their professional networks at unprecedented rates.”

Founded in 2020 by CEO Sherif Bacheet, Tays is a professional user-to-user networking app that matches people based on their professional interests and goals using a proprietary machine-learning algorithm to assist people in growing and sustaining their professional networks while maintaining a social and casual feel.
