Egyptian E-health Startup Estshara Secures $500k In Seed Funding Round

Estshara, a Cairo-based e-health startup which runs teleconsultation services, has raised $500,000 from Egypt Ventures in a Seed fundraising round. The startup was added to a list of promising Healthcare Startups in Emerging Venture Markets thanks to this fund.

By the end of the year, the Cairo-based healthtech startup wants to use the $500,000 cash to grow its existing user base from two million to six million, as well as extend its offers and customer care activities.

“The investment will help us scale our organisation with exceptional talent and enhanced resources, as well as further increase our marketing and sales outreach to support our focused go-to-market strategy and achieve our expansion goals,” Founder and CEO of Estshara, Dr. Amin Elhemaily further said.

A Look At What Estshara Does

Estshara is an online platform founded in 2018 by Amin El-Hemaily and Ahmed Mahmoud that provides health consultations and telepharmacy services to a large number of customers, including employees of private firms and medical insurance companies. Estshara has proved extremely helpful for patients since the beginning of the epidemic, as the demand and preference for remote digital solutions has grown.
Estshara, which currently serves two million customers and has completed over 200,000 consultations, is well on its way to making a name for itself in the healthtech business.
