Azur Fund Backs Moroccan Digital Staffing Platform Jodop In $1M Seed Round

Jobop, a Moroccan on-demand staffing platform, has secured $1 million in a SEED round headed by Azur Innovation Fund, with participation from Plug and Play and business angels. The round ended in April of this year. Jobop was founded in early 2021 and combines firms with blue collar temporary labour in industries such as hospitality, construction, shipping, and manufacturing using their proprietary technology.

The cash will be used to strengthen the company’s technology and expand into new markets, with a debut in Egypt expected before the end of the year.

The company says that it has seen a growth of over 80% on a quarterly basis. It said in a statement, “We’ve seen a phenomenal market response since our launch in 2021. The economic uncertainty surrounding Covid has forced a lot of companies to turn to temporary workers. Jobop has been simplifying and accelerating their experience of finding qualified and vetted workers”.
