The business acceleration with Orange Fab Tunisia enabled the startup to negotiate a B2B collaboration with Orange Tunisia, with the goal of allowing its employees to use the services of Lamma — Appetito at very affordable pricing while saving a significant amount of time. In addition, Lamma — Appetito is set to offer a second solution for the operator’s B2C customers that will be accessible very soon.

Wemove (Fitness):

Wemove (Fitness) is a fitness and well-being marketplace that provides its consumers with a diverse selection of sports classes (pay as you go model) in a network of partner rooms located throughout Tunisia. Following the acceleration by Orange Fab Tunisia, the start-up developed its B2B offer — large accounts, which enabled it to sign two contracts with Orange Tunisia.

The first contract is dedicated to Orange Tunisia’s employees, and the second contract is dedicated to the operator’s premium customers, Le Club by Orange. Finalizing a third contract with one of Orange Tunisia’s partners.

Majesteye (Deeptech IA):

A deeptech start-up focused on artificial intelligence and data science. The technology makes it possible to develop predictive models in record speed, with the intention of assisting businesses in transforming their vision into an actual project and boosting their revenue and/or market share as a result. At the conclusion of Orange Fab Tunisia’s acceleration programme, the startup was able to produce a solution that was optimally responsive to the telecom industry. Today, the proof of concept (PoC) is convincing, and the startup is in the process of negotiating its commercial contract at the national level, with opportunities for its international replication at the Orange Group level.

Moome

Moome is a mobile/web application combined with a connected collar designed to help cattle breeders optimise the management of their herds in terms of reproduction and disease prevention.

Ezzayra

Ezzayra develops and integrates technological products (software, hardware, and robotics) intended for agriculture.

In fact, Orange Tunisia, with its technological expertise, Moome and Ezzayra, with their business acumen, and a project team from UTAP (Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries), with its large network of more than 400,000 farmer members, have joined forces to assist farmers in adopting digital technology in their daily lives.

By exchanging “best practises,” this public-private start-up cooperation will make it feasible to advise farmers on a variety of crucial issues that affect them directly: seasonal illnesses of various crops and appropriate treatments, food, fertility and reproduction of herds, milk quality, and so forth. This will all be accessible on a single platform.

Beyond assistance, and in an effort to democratise access to digital tools in the industry, the two startups have devised a special commercial offer for Orange Tunisia users, granting access to discounts of up to 60 percent on their goods geared for Tunisian farmers and breeders.

According to Thierry Millet, Managing Director of Orange Tunisia, “Orange Fab Tunisia is one of the flagship programmes of Orange Digital Center because it helps support start-ups by providing them with business opportunities, allowing them to grow sustainably and to go international, thanks to the Orange Group network and also thanks to the various partners, such as the German Cooperation implemented by GIZ, a strategic partner and important support for the development of the programme.”

According to Norman Shraepel, Director of GIZ’s digital transformation programme in Tunisia, “the joint project of Orange and GIZ on Orange Digital Centers in the Africa and Middle East region is an example of a successful partnership between the German Cooperation to development and the private sector, in that they jointly support access to digital technology and innovation for all, with the goal of supporting the digital transformation of countries and, in this case, Tunisia.”

Keep an eye out for the upcoming application call for the fifth season of Orange Fab Tunisia.
