Morocco’s Witamax 1 Gets Set For A New Round Of Startup Investments

The Witamax 1 investment fund has already made its sixth investment three years after its founding, and it has no plans to stop there.

A number of well-known Moroccan businesspeople founded the Witamax 1 Investment Fund, which is still actively involved in investment projects. Sources close to this structure controlled by Soax Partners, an organisation also run by Hiba Marni and Omar Lemrabet, a former consultant and ex-private respectively who returned to Morocco a few years ago, claim that it is even in the midst of making his sixth equity investment in another business.

Take into account that Witamax 1, which is supported by Southbridge A&I and Axxam Family Office, has already invested in a wide range of industries and businesses, including Kounta, Data Pathology, and lacaisse.ma, designers of smart cash registers (digitized management of supplier expenses).

Investors in Witamax 1 include Ghita Lahlou, the director of the Ecole centrale of Casablanca, Youssef Moamah, the leader of the CMGP company, Karim Bernoussi, the founder and current CEO of the Intelcia group, Farid Bennis, and Abderrahmane Badaa (shareholder and manager of the Novatis group).
