Rology, a leading teleradiology company in the Middle East and Africa, has recently completed the acquisition of Arkan United, a teleradiology provider based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The transaction details were not disclosed.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Rology as it expands its presence in the Saudi healthcare sector. Founded in 2017 by Amr Abodriaa, Mahmoud Eldefrawy, Moaaz Hossam, and Bassam Khallaf, Rology offers an on-demand teleradiology platform that leverages AI and cloud computing to deliver reports within 12 hours, or in emergency cases, within 60 minutes.
Over the past three years, Rology has successfully secured multiple funding rounds. In the previous year, they raised a pre-Series A round, which aimed to enhance their operations in the Middle East and various African markets, notably Kenya.

Arkan, established in 2020 by Tarik Baeshen, provides a teleradiology platform tailored to medical centers, local hospitals, and polyclinics.
In an official press release, Rology CEO Amr Abodriaa and Arkan’s CEO Tarik Baeshen jointly announced the acquisition. Abodriaa expressed excitement about the acquisition and the potential to introduce innovative teleradiology solutions to healthcare providers and patients in Saudi Arabia and beyond. He emphasized that the integration of Rology’s advanced technology and network with Arkan’s expertise would revolutionize the field of teleradiology and enhance patient care in unprecedented ways. Baeshen conveyed his enthusiasm for Rology’s ability to further propel Arkan’s success in the Saudi market, acknowledging Rology’s competent team and disruptive solutions as vital for the Saudi healthcare system.
