African entrepreneurs have until June 13, 2021 to respond (apply) to a call for project submission by Enrich in Africa (EIA). The organization invites applications for “Bees soft-landing program powered by EIA”. The programme is an initiative of the European Commission made up of a consortium of twelve African and European organizations including Streinbeis 2i, Bpi France, Impact hub, Methys Group, etc.
“We are thrilled to be able to work with such a strong group of partners to add additional value to the innovation ecosystem of Europe and Africa. There is such a great amount of work already taking place in this space, but we see a real value in being able to raise the capacity of such actors as well as connect the two regions to each other. There is much to be done but we have the right team in place to achieve great results.” Eduardo Herrmann, Member of Management Board at Steinbeis 2i GmbHEiA Coordinating Partner.
The Bees soft-landing program targets 10 African entrepreneurs, startups or SMEs. The program will support them in the development of their business in Europe. The program also aims to reconnect the entrepreneurial ecosystems of these two continents. Members of the cohort will benefit from training in international development. They will be able to meet and create relationships with European partners and find potential investors. There are also co-working spaces available to them, as well as support in obtaining a Schengen visa.
