Efreshli, an Egyptian online interior design service, has secured $550,000 in a seed round headed by angel investor Tarek Sakr and property developer Marakez, according to founder and CEO Heba El Gabaly.

According to El Gabaly, the funds will be utilized to fund Efreshli’s geographical expansion as well as the development of their digital infrastructure. She noted that the company intends to expand throughout the region, with plans to start in the UAE next year.

Efreshli was founded in 2019 by Heba El Gabaly. Through its virtual décor tool, which allows users to visualize how room configurations will look before making a purchase, the firm intends to provide a fresh and accessible method to furnish homes, offices, or any other area. Efreshli collaborates with furniture and decor firms to curate spaces based on consumers’ aesthetic preferences and budgets, as well as assisting with the purchase of the items.

Heba El Gabaly was previously a founder at Eklego and had mentored early stage social entrepreneurs under the auspices of Endeavor Egypt.
