Founders Back Nigerian Edtech Startup Klas In New Funding Round
Nigerian edtech startup Klas has raised $130,000 in an angel round lead by an all-star cast of investors including Tola Adesanmi (Spleet), Odunayo Eweniyi (Piggyvest), Nadayar Enegesi (Eden life), Njoku Emmanuel (Lazerpay), Leonard Stiegeler (Jumia), Voltron Capital, Cabal Fund, Velocity Digital, HoaQ, and other famous angels.
Klas is an online education platform that enables anyone to establish an online school and provide live lectures. Their objective is to liberate knowledge sharing’s potential.
At the moment, there is no straightforward mechanism for designers to teach online. The majority of producers duct-tape together disparate platforms to deliver critical class components like scheduling, payment, community, analytics, and video conferencing. All of this is integrated and seamless into Klas. Klas aspires to become the Shopify of online education.

Nathan Nwachuku and Lekan Adejumo founded the company in December 2021. Klas has expanded to over 2,000 creators on its waitlist, released V2, and worked with leading companies worldwide. On Klas, creators can teach a variety of subjects, including coding, design, cryptography, business, and languages.
Nathan, the company’s 18-year-old CEO and co-founder, came up with the idea while looking for a simple way to teach Physics online during a five-month absence due to the loss of his right eye. After graduating from high school, he declined college admissions in order to pursue his new hobby. He later met Lekan, the company’s CTO and co-founder, on the YC matching site, where they instantly connected over a shared vision for the future of online education.
